Jacket and pant shell fabrics are made from recycled fibres, which are created from everyday products like plastic PET bottles. Burton added style to the recycled shell fabric by creating one-of-a-kind jacquards, plaids and pinstripe prints. All shell fabrics stand up to winter weather conditions with a 10,000 MM waterproof rating and a 10,000 G breathable lamination rating achieved by utilizing specially formulated films and finishes that have less of an impact on the environment than traditional waterproofing, as well as breathability techniques. In addition, the trims, linings and insulations of all GMP products utilize as many recycled and low-impact materials as possible – even the shock cords, elastic, fleece pocket liners and labels contain recycled materials.
